An ideal place for cross-country skiing in the winter and perfect for cycling, hiking and picking mushrooms in the summer.
The Šumava nature does not need to be introduced for a long time. There are no words that could describe what one feels when visiting the largest national park in the Czech Republic. Perhaps thanks to long-term inaccessibility, Šumava has preserved its natural wealth. Staying in the Šumava countryside is the best balm for body and soul ..
Šumava is a paradise for tourists, not only because of the vast forests, streams, rivers and lakes. You could say that every hiking trail leads around a monument. No wonder. The medieval Golden Trail led through Šumava and Pošumaví. For this reason, several guard castles and a number of lookout towers were built here, many of which have survived to this day. The ancient wealth of Šumava was also reflected in the appearance of contemporary towns such as Kašperské Hory, Sušice, Železná Ruda or Rabí. Soak up the Šumava atmosphere in full sips. Get inspired by our tips for trips or choose from the offered hiking trails not only for walkers, but also for cross-country skiers.
